About Me

Hello my name is Tim Johnson.

I have always been fascinated with making things.  When I was about 12 years old (about 1994) a neighbor introduced me to knife making.   We built a knife over the course of many Sunday evenings. By the end I was hooked and spent a good portion of my teenage years making knives and gathering hand tools.  I received a lot of advice attending knife shows in New York and Connecticut. Eventually I graduated High School and was accepted into Rochester Institute of Technology's School of American Craft.  A good portion of my portfolio were knives I had made.  After one year I decided to go directly into the work force here in Massachusetts.

Making knives always has stayed in the back of my mind and after coming across a binder full of all my old knife drawings the flame was rekindled!

I have been working since October 2012 building my shop and inventory.  My pencil sketches are starting to become a reality as I slowly and painstakingly begin to finish steel from bar stock  to blade. I enjoy using the most beautiful and rare natural and synthetic materials I can find.

None of this would be possible without the support of my lovely wife Tonya.
